Proofreading

Proofreading consists of checking translations from English into Dutch and Dutch into English across a wide range of subjects, specialising in Dutch-English medical translations. As the eye tends to pick out more mistakes on paper, one or both language versions are printed, and errors in spelling, grammar, punctuation, numbers and so on are corrected. The translation can also be revised, should this be required.

Corrections are normally inserted by means of Track Changes in Word or directly into PowerPoint or bilingual files.

Experience includes on-screen proofreading of subtitles for Hollywood feature films.
